# Payout proof

> Payout proof on a prop firm website should show dated payout records drawn from the firm's own platform or payment data, labeled as rewards from simulated trading, with names shortened for privacy. Where no audited figures exist yet, it should say so plainly. Every PipValley plan includes a payouts page; a maintained payout proof wall is $59/mo.

Big cumulative payout numbers and screenshot walls are everywhere in prop, and traders have learned to distrust them. Proof works when it can be checked: a date, an amount, a method and a label that says what it is. On builds we've shipped, the site shows first-party figures or a card that says audited figures are not available yet.

## How it works

- Payout records come from your platform or payment provider's data, never typed in by hand.
- Each record shows date, amount, method and a shortened name, with the trader's consent rules applied.
- The page carries an honest empty state until there is data to show.
- A certificate verifier can sit alongside, so shared certificates can be checked by ID.

## Why traders care

A trader buying an evaluation is really asking whether the firm pays. Dated, checkable records answer that better than any headline total.

## Why founders care

Fake-looking proof costs more trust than no proof. A verifiable payout page survives the scrutiny of review sites, payment providers and journalists.

## Compliance note

Payouts are labeled as rewards from simulated trading, with a line that individual results vary. Totals are shown only when they can be sourced and dated.

## Questions

### Are payout screenshots good proof?

Rarely. Screenshots are easy to fake and impossible to check, and traders know it. Dated records from your own systems, with a clear label, are stronger.

### What if we have not paid out yet?

Say so. A payouts page that explains how payouts work and states that records will appear as they happen is more credible than invented numbers.

### Can traders opt out of appearing?

Yes. The page shows only what your terms and the trader's consent allow, with names shortened, and a trader can ask to be removed.
