In a prop firm, the affiliate program is often the largest acquisition channel. Partners promote the firm with tracked links or discount codes, and the firm pays either a percentage of each sale (revenue share) or a fixed amount per sale (CPA), sometimes tiered by volume.

Affiliate tracking usually lives in the CRM or a dedicated affiliate platform. The program needs clear terms covering self-referral, coupon leakage to discount sites, payout timing, refunds and chargebacks, and what partners may and may not claim.

Firms are responsible for what affiliates say in their name. An affiliate promising easy funding or steady income creates risk for the firm, not just the partner.

## Why it matters

Affiliates can make or break acquisition cost, and the commission comes straight out of net fee revenue. Give partners approved claims, assets and disclosure wording, monitor what they publish, and have a partner page on your site that sets out terms so serious creators can apply without a sales call.
