In a prop firm, cTrader is a common alternative or addition to MetaTrader. Spotware licenses it to brokers and has a dedicated offering for prop firms, which firms access directly or through a technology partner.

Traders know cTrader for its depth-of-market display, its cTrader Copy and algorithmic trading features (cBots, written in C#), and its web terminal. Prop firms care about its account management APIs for creating, monitoring and closing accounts automatically.

Terms, pricing and which jurisdictions Spotware serves change over time; check them with Spotware or your provider rather than relying on secondhand summaries.

## Why it matters

Adding cTrader reduces dependency on a single platform vendor and appeals to traders who prefer it. If you offer it, say so on the pricing table and the platform page, explain any rule differences between platforms, and state whether bots (cBots) fall under the same EA policy.
