# What is Rules page?

> A prop firm rules page is the single, canonical explanation of every evaluation and funded-stage rule, with definitions, worked examples and an update date.

In a prop firm, the rules page is where every rule lives once: loss limits and their reference points, drawdown types, profit targets, minimum days, news and weekend rules, EA and copy trading policies, consistency rules and payout conditions. Other pages summarize and link back to it.

Good rules pages are versioned. They show a last-updated date, keep a change log, and state which version applies to accounts bought before a change.

Each rule needs a definition, the exact numbers per program, a worked example, and what happens on a breach.

## Why it matters

When a trader disputes a breach or a denied payout, the rules page as it stood on the purchase date is your main evidence. A clear, versioned rules page reduces disputes, supports chargeback responses and is the content AI assistants are most likely to quote when traders ask about your firm.
