# What is Trader dashboard?

> A trader dashboard is the logged-in area where a prop firm's traders see their accounts, live rule status, breach levels, certificates and payout requests.

In a prop firm, the dashboard is the product traders use every day after checkout. A good one shows each account's balance and equity, the current daily and maximum loss levels in dollars, progress toward the profit target, trading days counted, and payout eligibility.

Dashboards usually come from the CRM or white-label provider. Firms can often brand them and sometimes customize which metrics appear, but not always how rules are calculated.

The dashboard is where rule disputes start or end. If it shows the trader exactly where their breach level is, before the breach, most disputes never happen.

## Why it matters

The dashboard is part of your brand even if a vendor built it. Make sure its terminology and numbers match your website and rules page exactly, add help links from each metric to the matching rule, and link to it clearly from your site header so traders do not land on a login page from search.
