# MT4 and MT5 White Label Cost (2026), and Prop Firms

> An MT5 white label costs roughly $5,000–$15,000 to set up and $1,000–$5,000 a month for the platform, or $2,700–$11,000 a month all-in, according to B2Broker's April 2026 estimates. MT4 is priced on quote. For prop firms the bigger issue is access: MetaQuotes restricted prop firm use in February 2024, so most new prop firms budget for Match-Trader, cTrader, TradeLocker or DXtrade instead.

**Short answer:** An MT5 white label costs roughly $5,000–$15,000 to set up and $1,000–$5,000 a month for the platform, or $2,700–$11,000 a month all-in, according to B2Broker's April 2026 estimates. MT4 is priced on quote. For prop firms the bigger issue is access: MetaQuotes restricted prop firm use in February 2024, so most new prop firms budget for Match-Trader, cTrader, TradeLocker or DXtrade instead.

MetaTrader 4 and 5 are still the platforms many traders ask for by name, so founders often start their research with "MT4 white label cost". The honest answer has two parts. There is a market price for an MT5 white label from a broker technology provider, and we list it below. And there is a separate question of whether a prop firm can get MetaTrader at all, which for most new firms in 2026 is no.

Prices below are vendor estimates or press reports, dated and attributed. MetaQuotes does not publish a price list, and negotiates terms with each licence holder.

## What does an MT5 white label cost?

B2Broker, a broker technology provider, published its MT5 white-label cost guide in April 2026. It gives industry ranges, not a price list, and says MetaQuotes "halted the issuance of new MT5 white label licenses" in late 2022, so new brokers must sub-license from an existing main-label holder or choose a different platform.

**MT5 white-label cost ranges (vendor estimates as published by B2Broker, April 2026; checked 12 October 2026)**

| Line | Published range | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| One-time setup | $5,000–$15,000 | "Industry range" for setting up the white label |
| Core platform, monthly | $1,000–$5,000 | Platform licence, hosting, maintenance and basic support |
| All-in, monthly | $2,700–$11,000 | Adds liquidity, CRM and other add-ons |
| MT4 white label | Quote only | No current published range found |

## What do MetaQuotes licence holders pay?

White-label prices sit on top of what the main licence holder pays MetaQuotes. Finance Magnates reported on February 5, 2025 that MetaQuotes raised its MetaTrader licensing fees by roughly 20% to 25% from January 1, 2025, and, citing anonymous industry sources, put a full MT4 package at about $35,000 a month. The report said actual costs vary because MetaQuotes negotiates separately with each broker.

That is why white-label pricing varies so much: you are buying a slice of another company's server licence, and its costs, minimums and appetite for risk set your price.

## Can a prop firm get an MT4 or MT5 white label in 2026?

Most new prop firms cannot rely on it. In February 2024 MetaQuotes reportedly restricted prop trading firms' use of MetaTrader. It did not publicly confirm the move, but Finance Magnates reported on February 19, 2024 that brokers ended grey-label arrangements with prop firms, with one broker executive saying: "We're unfortunately in breach of our grey label license ability to offer this for prop firms." Many firms moved traders to other platforms within weeks.

Some prop firms still offer MetaTrader through arrangements with licensed brokers, but those arrangements depend on someone else's licence and can end at short notice. If MetaTrader is essential to your traders, get the licence chain in writing: who holds the server licence, under what terms prop use is allowed, and what notice you get if it ends.

## What do prop firms budget for instead?

Prop firms mostly budget for platforms that publish prop-specific plans or actively sell to prop firms. The table lists what each publishes, as of October 2026.

**Prop firm platform alternatives to MetaTrader (as published, checked 12 October 2026)**

| Platform | Published prop pricing | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Match-Trader | White label from $2,500/month; platform and prop CRM from $4,000/month (Nov 2024 article) | Final pricing on request |
| TradeLocker | Starter $3,000/month for up to 500 active accounts | Bills accounts with at least one open position in the month |
| cTrader | Quote only | Spotware restricted onboarding of US traders through prop firms from July 1, 2026 |
| DXtrade | Quote only | No public rate card found |
| Profit-share white label | e.g. PropSuite: $2,749 setup, a 50–70% founder share of net revenue | Platform access comes through the provider |

## What else goes in an MT5 budget?

If you do secure MetaTrader access, the platform fee is only part of the monthly cost. B2Broker's all-in range adds liquidity and CRM; a prop firm adds a challenge engine that reads accounts and enforces rules, a trader dashboard, KYC at payout, payments and a website that explains rules per platform.

- Challenge and risk engine: tracks drawdown and targets on each account; often sold with a prop CRM.
- Bridge or data feed: needed if you run your own server and route demo prices from a provider.
- Migration fund: firms that lost MetaTrader in 2024 had to rebuild onboarding, rules and FAQ content in days. Keep a contingency for doing it again.

## Questions

### How much is an MT4 white label?

An MT4 white label is priced on quote; we found no current published price. For MT5, B2Broker estimates $5,000–$15,000 setup and $1,000–$5,000 a month for the platform, as published in April 2026.

### Is MetaQuotes still issuing white label licences?

B2Broker says MetaQuotes halted new MT5 white label licences in late 2022, so new brokers sub-license from an existing licence holder or choose another platform. Confirm the current position with any provider before you sign.

### Can prop firms use MetaTrader 5?

Most new prop firms cannot rely on MetaTrader 5. MetaQuotes reportedly restricted prop firm use in February 2024, and brokers ended many grey-label arrangements. Some firms still offer it through brokers, which depends on someone else's licence.

### What is the cheapest platform route for a prop firm?

The cheapest route to launch is usually a profit-share white label with platform access included, such as PropSuite's published $2,749 setup and a 50–70% founder share of net revenue. Fixed licences such as Match-Trader from $2,500 a month cost more upfront but keep more margin.
