**Short answer:** There is no SVG forex licence: the FSA does not license forex, and since 12 January 2023 companies doing forex business must show licences from where they operate. An SVG LLC costs USD 125 to register and USD 100 a year, is registered within 24 hours through a licensed agent and has no residency rule. New virtual asset applications were suspended in September 2026. Confirm with an SVG lawyer.

## At a glance

- **Regulator:** Financial Services Authority (FSA) of St Vincent and the Grenadines, which registers business companies and LLCs through licensed registered agents. [2][3]
- **Forex licence:** None. An FSA legal officer: "Forex trading/brokerage licences are not issued in St Vincent and the Grenadines to any entity incorporated or registered here." [7]
- **2023 forex rule:** FSA notice of 12 Jan 2023: companies wishing to do forex business must provide "a certified copy of requisite licenses/approval" from where they operate, or the application is rejected; existing firms had until 10 Mar 2023. [6]
- **Licence for a simulated model:** We found no FSA statement on simulated-evaluation prop firms as of 12 Oct 2026. An LLC must state its business activity, so describe the model accurately. [2]
- **LLC and BC government fees:** Registration USD 125 and USD 100 a year for a business company or LLC. Series LLC USD 500, then USD 300 + USD 250 per series (cap USD 10,000). [1]
- **Formation time and residency:** LLCs are registered "within 24 hrs" of the application; no residency or nationality requirement; an SVG registered agent is mandatory. [2]
- **Agent formation price:** Expanship publishes BC and LLC packages of USD 1,049 (about 5 days) and USD 1,999 (about 2 days), including government fees and a first-year registered agent. [9]
- **Virtual assets:** VAB registration costs XCD 4,000 to apply and XCD 12,000 to register; the FSA suspended new VAB applications in Sept 2026 (applications before 1 Sept continue). [1][5]
- **Corporate tax:** 28%; a company centrally managed and controlled in SVG is taxed on worldwide income, non-residents only on SVG-source income (Deloitte 2025). [10]
- **Banking reality:** CSIS reported that 21 of 23 Caribbean banks surveyed in 2017 had lost at least one correspondent banking relationship. [11]

St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) is still the registered home of many offshore forex brands, which is why founders search for an "SVG forex licence". The answer is simple: there is none. What SVG offers is a fast, cheap company, and since 2023 a rule that makes forex companies show licences from elsewhere.

A prop firm sells evaluations on simulated accounts and pays rewards from simulated results; it is not a broker. This page covers the FSA’s position, how that affects a prop firm, company vehicles and fees, tax, banking, the website and when SVG is the wrong base. Every figure was checked on 12 October 2026.

> This page explains how things generally work in St Vincent and the Grenadines as of 12 October 2026. It is not legal, tax or financial advice and does not create a lawyer–client relationship. Rules and fees change; confirm every point with a qualified lawyer and tax adviser in St Vincent and the Grenadines before you act.

## Is there an SVG forex licence?

No. An FSA legal officer told Business Daily Africa: "Forex trading/brokerage licences are not issued in St Vincent and the Grenadines to any entity incorporated or registered here". Sumsub notes that until 6 January 2023, FX brokerage activities were not subject to licensing in SVG at all.

On 12 January 2023 the FSA issued requirements for business companies and LLCs engaging in forex: "Companies wishing to engage in FOREX business must provide a certified copy of requisite licenses/approval" from the jurisdictions where they operate, and an application "will be rejected if no such evidence is provided". Existing forex companies had until 10 March 2023 to comply, and non-compliance can lead to sanctions under the FSA Act (Searchlight).

## What does that mean for a prop firm?

We found no FSA statement about simulated-evaluation prop firms as of 12 October 2026. Because an SVG LLC must state its intended business activity at formation, how you describe the model matters: "sale of simulated trading evaluations and trader education" is a different activity from "forex brokerage". Ask your registered agent and an SVG lawyer whether the FSA would treat your model as forex business, and keep your terms consistent with that description.

If your plan includes brokering live trades, holding client money or a CFD arm, SVG cannot license it: you would need a licence elsewhere, which is exactly what the 2023 rule asks for. See [is a prop firm a broker](https://pipvalley.com/guides/is-a-prop-firm-a-broker) and [do prop firms need a licence](https://pipvalley.com/guides/do-prop-firms-need-a-license). Why some founders still choose SVG: speed, low fees and no residency rules for the evaluation company, sometimes paired with a licensed broker partner. An SVG company does not give you a regulator to point to, and it does not authorise marketing in any customer country.

## How do you form a company in SVG, and what does it cost?

SVG offers two common vehicles for international business, both formed through an SVG-licensed registered agent. The FSA publishes the government fees.

- Choose an SVG-licensed registered agent; all filings go through them.
- Provide due diligence on the ultimate beneficial owner, managers and members before formation.
- State the business activity accurately; forex activity triggers the 2023 evidence rule.
- Compare formation costs across places in [prop firm company formation cost](https://pipvalley.com/guides/prop-firm-company-formation-cost).

**SVG company vehicles: FSA government fees and agent prices (fsasvg.com, Expanship; checked 12 Oct 2026)**

| Vehicle | Registration | Annual (FSA) | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Limited liability company (LLC) | USD 125 | USD 100 | Registered within 24 hours; no residency or nationality rule; must state its business activity |
| Business company (BC) | USD 125 | USD 100 | Cannot do licensed activity without the licence |
| Series LLC | USD 500 | USD 300 + USD 250 per series | Variable fee capped at USD 10,000 |
| Agent package (Expanship) | USD 1,049 (about 5 days) or USD 1,999 (about 2 days) | Renewal quoted by agent | Includes government fees and first-year registered agent |

## Crypto in SVG: the September 2026 freeze

Searches for an "SVG crypto license" are common. The Virtual Asset Business Act took effect on 31 May 2025 and only BCs and LLCs can register; the FSA fee schedule lists XCD 4,000 to apply, XCD 12,000 to register and XCD 12,000 to renew. On 3 September 2026 Finance Magnates reported that the FSA had "immediately suspended the submission of new applications for virtual asset businesses"; applications submitted before 1 September 2026 continue. A crypto prop firm that only accepts crypto as payment is not necessarily a virtual asset business, but ask a lawyer. See [start a crypto prop firm](https://pipvalley.com/start-a-prop-firm/crypto).

## Banking, payments and tax

Banking is the hard part of any Eastern Caribbean structure. CSIS reported that 21 of 23 Caribbean banks surveyed in 2017 had lost at least one correspondent bank. Plan to bank abroad, with a card route through orchestration ([Paytiko](https://pipvalley.com/tech/paytiko), BridgerPay), a crypto gateway ([Match2Pay](https://pipvalley.com/tech/match2pay), [NOWPayments](https://pipvalley.com/tech/nowpayments)) and a payout provider ([Rise](https://pipvalley.com/tech/rise)). Our [payment gateway guide](https://pipvalley.com/guides/forex-payment-gateway-for-prop-firms) and [payout providers guide](https://pipvalley.com/guides/prop-firm-payout-providers) go deeper.

SVG’s corporate income tax rate is 28%. A company centrally managed and controlled in SVG is resident and taxed on worldwide income; a non-resident company is taxed only on SVG-source income (Deloitte 2025). How that applies to an LLC run from elsewhere, and whether the country you manage it from taxes it, are questions for a tax adviser.

## What must an SVG prop firm’s website show?

An SVG prop firm’s website must not suggest a licence that SVG does not issue. Most SVG-registered firms sell abroad, so the privacy and cookie rules of your customers’ countries matter more than local ones. Use the [website checklist](https://pipvalley.com/guides/prop-firm-website-checklist) and [disclaimer generator](https://pipvalley.com/tools/prop-firm-disclaimer-generator).

- Entity disclosure: SVG company name, registration number and registered agent address, plus your operating address.
- A simulated-trading notice and a plain statement that the firm is not licensed by the SVG FSA; never call SVG registration a licence.
- A restricted-countries list enforced at checkout and KYC; see [restricted countries](https://pipvalley.com/guides/prop-firm-sanctions-and-restricted-countries).
- Privacy policy and cookie banner that meet the strictest market you sell to, such as the EU or UK.
- Language: English is used for official business in SVG; launch in your traders’ languages.

## When should you not choose SVG?

- You want to say "regulated": SVG has no forex regulator to name.
- You plan a brokerage arm: you will need a licence elsewhere anyway, so start there.
- You need a local bank: Eastern Caribbean correspondent banking is thin.
- You plan a crypto exchange or custody business: new VAB applications are suspended since September 2026.
- You want a cheaper company with similar trade-offs: compare [Seychelles](https://pipvalley.com/jurisdictions/seychelles) and [Saint Lucia](https://pipvalley.com/jurisdictions/st-lucia).

## Launch steps

1. **Describe the model in one sentence:** Write the business activity you will give the registered agent. If it involves forex brokerage, the 2023 rule requires licences from elsewhere.
2. **Get a legal view:** Ask an SVG lawyer whether the FSA would treat your evaluation model as forex business, and how to word the activity.
3. **Form the LLC or BC:** Through a licensed registered agent, with beneficial-owner due diligence; USD 125 in government fees, registered within 24 hours.
4. **Open accounts abroad:** Apply to banks, e-money providers, card routes and crypto gateways in parallel.
5. **Publish the website and terms:** Entity disclosure, "not licensed by the SVG FSA", simulated-trading notice, restricted countries and privacy policy.
6. **Diary the annual fee:** Pay the FSA annual fee through your agent each year to keep the company in good standing.

## Providers worth a look

- **Paytiko**: Payment orchestration to reach several high-risk acquirers from one cashier.
- **BridgerPay**: Payment orchestration with routing and retries; not itself a PSP.
- **Match2Pay**: Crypto processor for brokers and prop firms with published deposit and payout fees.
- **NOWPayments**: Crypto gateway with mass payouts; transaction fees from 1%.
- **Rise**: Contractor payroll in fiat and crypto marketed to prop firms for payouts.
- **Sumsub**: KYC and AML screening with published per-verification pricing.

## Questions

### Can you get a forex licence in St Vincent and the Grenadines?

No. The SVG FSA does not issue forex licences to any entity incorporated there, and since 12 January 2023 it requires companies wishing to do forex business to show certified licences or approvals from the jurisdictions where they operate, or their application is rejected. Confirm your position with an SVG lawyer.

### How much does an SVG LLC cost?

The FSA fee schedule lists USD 125 to register a single LLC and USD 100 a year. Registered agent fees are extra: Expanship publishes all-in packages of USD 1,049 (about 5 days) and USD 1,999 (about 2 days) that include government fees and the first year of the registered agent.

### How long does it take to form an SVG company?

The FSA says an LLC is registered within 24 hours of receiving the application, which must be filed through an SVG-licensed registered agent after due diligence on the beneficial owner, managers and members. Agent packages quote two to five days end to end. Banking abroad takes longer.

### Can I get a crypto licence in SVG?

Not as a new applicant right now. SVG’s Virtual Asset Business Act took effect on 31 May 2025, with registration fees of XCD 4,000 to apply and XCD 12,000 to register, but the FSA suspended new applications in September 2026. Applications submitted before 1 September 2026 continue to be processed.

### Do SVG companies pay tax?

SVG’s corporate income tax rate is 28%. A company centrally managed and controlled in SVG is taxed on worldwide income; a non-resident company is taxed only on SVG-source income, according to Deloitte. Where your LLC is actually managed can decide which country taxes it, so ask a tax adviser.
