The short version
This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no advertising, social media or third-party analytics trackers. We measure visits with our own first-party analytics, which keeps a few small values in your browser’s storage. Nothing in them identifies you by name, and none of it is shared with anyone.
If we ever add advertising or third-party analytics tools, we will ask first with a consent banner where accepting and rejecting are equally easy, and the default will be no.
What we keep in your browser
Local storage keeps a value until you clear it. Session storage keeps a value only until you close the tab.

Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary security cookies to protect the site from attacks. They are not used for tracking.
Opting out
Open any page with ?pv_optout=1 added to the address and this browser stops being counted. Add ?pv_optout=0 to switch it back on. Automated and headless browsers are never counted.
You can also clear or block site data in your browser settings. The site works fully without it.
