05Methodology and disclosure
How this page was built.
- Sources. Each vendor’s own pages first, then named trade press; aggregator listings are marked as such. Every page was read on 12 Oct 2026, and every fact carries its source and that date.
- Prices. Quoted verbatim, only where the vendor publishes them. “Quote only” means no price list was published. We don’t convert currencies or estimate missing prices.
- Claims. Launch times, client counts and speeds are the vendor’s words, written “they say”. We don’t restate them as fact.
- The PipValley Index. A fetch-only crawl of prop firm homepages plus up to five key pages, 529 analysable sites on 12 Oct 2026, confirmed and strong detections only. A count of firms whose pages show the vendor: a lower bound on visibility, not a customer count. Some vendors share a detector (PropSuite and Propriotec), and some have none yet.
- Ordering and disclosure. PropSuite is PipValley’s technology partner and we may benefit when founders launch on it; it appears first and is labelled wherever it is listed. Everyone else is ordered by Index visibility, then name. No scores, ratings or reviews.
- What’s left out. Names that turned out not to be vendors, and vendors we couldn’t verify (no legal entity, dead pages). Absent fields mean not published, never “no”.
06FAQ
Questions about prop firm technology.
What is the best prop firm technology provider?
There isn’t one best provider; it depends on whether you have payout capital, which markets you sell and which platforms your traders want. PropSuite is our technology partner and the one we recommend to founders with an audience but no capital; this page lists 64 vendors with sourced facts so you can check the alternatives yourself.
How much does prop firm software cost?
As published on 12 Oct 2026: Match-Trader, White Label: Basic: $2,500 / month; TradeLocker, Starter Plan (up to 500 active accounts): $3,000 / month; FXPropTech, Startup: $1,000/mo + $1,500 one-time setup; up to 500 accounts, $2.50/account after limit; PropSuite, Standard setup: $2,749 one time; PropAccount, One-time setup: starts at $3,000. Most other vendors quote on request, and bases differ (monthly, per account, revenue share).
Which trading platform do most prop firms use?
In the PipValley Index (529 firm sites, 12 Oct 2026): MetaTrader 5 151, cTrader 107, Match-Trader 94, TradeLocker 54, DXtrade 52. Many firms offer more than one platform, and the counts are firms whose pages show the platform.
Which prop firm CRM is used the most?
Among prop platforms and CRMs, the Index sees PropAccount on 28 sites, Axcera on 25 sites, Quant Technology (quant-technology.team) on 11 sites, Propriotec / PropSuite on 9 sites, FPFX Tech on 4 sites. Several back offices are invisible from the outside, so treat these as lower bounds.
Which providers pay traders for you?
Capital-backed providers in our dataset: PropSuite (our technology partner) and PropAccount. Each says it supplies the capital and pays winning traders in exchange for a share of revenue.
Which prop firm tech vendors build websites?
Per their own pages: Quant Technology Group, YourPropFirm, PropAccount, Trade Tech Solutions, Kenmore Design, B2PROP, FINXSOL and TinyTrader. Most platforms and CRMs don’t; they expect your own site to link to their checkout and dashboard. PipValley builds those sites.
What is a white label prop firm?
A prop firm that runs on another company’s technology under its own brand. In a software white label you license the stack and carry payout risk; in a capital-backed white label the provider funds and pays traders for a share of revenue.
Is cTrader or MetaTrader available to US prop traders?
Our record shows restrictions on both: Finance Magnates reported Spotware stopped onboarding US-based traders for prop firms after a Q1 2026 internal regulatory assessment. And for MetaTrader: Blackbull Markets cut off prop firm Funding Pips from its MT5 grey label, linked to active US accounts; industry expected MT access for US prop clients to end (Finance Magnates).
How did you build this comparison?
We read each vendor’s own pages and named press on 12 Oct 2026 and recorded only what they publish, with the source and date. Prices are verbatim. Claims are attributed. Index counts come from our crawl of 529 prop firm sites. Absent means not published.
Is PipValley independent of these vendors?
PipValley is a web design studio for prop firms. PropSuite is our disclosed technology partner and we may benefit when founders launch on it; it is listed first and labelled wherever it appears. No other vendor here is a partner; the order is set by the published rule, not by any vendor.
