ProjectX

What it means

In a futures prop firm, ProjectX provides the trading front end and account infrastructure that the firm's evaluations run on. It was adopted by a number of futures prop firms as an alternative to existing connection providers.

Reports in 2025 and 2026 indicated that ProjectX would become exclusive to Topstep, ending access for third-party firms. Confirm the current position and any dates with ProjectX or Topstep directly before planning around it.

The episode is a reminder that a prop firm's platform can be owned by a competitor, and that migration plans matter.
