Affiliates are the main paid acquisition channel for most prop firms, so the software that tracks them handles a large share of your revenue and most of your partner disputes. Pick it for attribution and fraud control first and dashboards second.
This guide compares the kinds of affiliate software prop firms use, lists the features that matter for evaluations, and explains how the software connects to your website and checkout. Vendor descriptions are as each vendor publishes them in October 2026; we do not rank or recommend any of them. Our affiliate program guide covers commission design, which you should settle before choosing a tool.
What kinds of affiliate software do prop firms use?
Prop firms use three kinds of affiliate software: platforms built for trading and iGaming, general SaaS referral tools, and modules inside prop-tech back offices. Each fits a different stage.
| Kind | Examples | What the vendor says | Fits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trading and iGaming platforms | Cellxpert | Commission models "CPA, RevShare, rebates, hybrid structures, multi-level commissions"; MT4, MT5 and cTrader integration; risk scoring and geo rules for fraud | Firms with large partner networks, IB structures or a broker arm |
| Trading and iGaming platforms | Track360 | "The complete affiliate management platform for iGaming, Forex & Prop Trading"; tracks challenge purchases and coupon attribution; CPA, RevShare, hybrid and multi-tier deals | Firms wanting prop-specific attribution out of the box |
| General SaaS referral tools | FirstPromoter, LeadDyno, AffiliateWP, TrackDesk | Link and coupon tracking for online businesses | Launch-stage firms with a simple program |
| Back-office modules | Affiliate modules in prop-tech CRMs | Built into the CRM, sharing trader and order data | Firms that want one system of record |
Which tools do prop firms actually use?
Affiliate tools are often visible in a prop firm's website code. When we fingerprinted firm homepages in October 2026, FundedNext loaded FirstPromoter and The5ers loaded LeadDyno. On PropTechPal, a prop-tech vendor directory run by the same owners as PipValley, 21 of 25 listed back-office vendors say they include affiliate management, and the third-party tools they name include Track360, Cellxpert, AffiliateWP, LeadDyno, TrackDesk and HYROS.
Pricing is mostly by quote. Cellxpert and Track360 do not publish prices on their sites; general SaaS tools publish monthly plans that change often, so check each vendor's own pricing page on the day you compare.
Which features matter for a prop firm?
The features that matter for a prop firm are the ones that decide who gets paid and how much: attribution of codes and links, refund and chargeback handling, fraud flags, and statements partners can check. Without them, every month ends in disputes.
- Code and link attribution with a published rule for which wins when both are present.
- Commission on the amount paid after discount, not the list price.
- Automatic clawback on refunds and chargebacks, with a holding period before commission is payable.
- Tiers and sub-affiliate overrides with clear measurement windows.
- Fraud flags: self-referral, shared payment methods or devices, coupon leakage, sudden spikes.
- Partner dashboard and exportable statements of clicks, sales, refunds and commission.
- Payout of commission through the same rails you trust for trader payouts.
- An integration with your checkout and CRM that does not depend on a browser cookie alone.
How does affiliate software connect to the website?
Affiliate software connects to the website through a tracking script or server-side event on landing, a code field at checkout, and a conversion event when the order is paid. The fragile point is the handoff between your marketing site and the checkout, which often sits on a different domain.
If the referral ID is lost at that handoff, the sale is unattributed and the partner complains. Carry the referral and code through the checkout handoff explicitly, record them on the order in the CRM, and send the conversion server-to-server where the tool supports it, so ad blockers and cookie limits do not cost partners their commission.
How do you choose affiliate software?
Choose affiliate software by testing your hardest real case in a trial: a trader who clicks one partner's link, uses another partner's code, buys on a different device, then refunds. If the tool cannot get that right and show why, it will not survive your first large partner.
- Does it already integrate with your back office and checkout?
- Can it read discount codes server-side at payment?
- How does it handle refunds, chargebacks and partial refunds?
- Can partners see enough to trust the numbers without seeing other partners' data?
- Can you export everything if you switch?
What this means for your website
Affiliate tracking depends on the website more than vendors admit: landing pages for partners, a checkout handoff that preserves the referral, and an affiliate page that recruits partners with the real commission table. A site that drops referral parameters between pages costs you partners.
PipValley builds affiliate pages and partner landing pages and wires referral and code parameters through the checkout handoff into your back office. Questions
What affiliate software do prop firms use?
Prop firms use trading and iGaming affiliate platforms such as Cellxpert and Track360, general SaaS tools such as FirstPromoter or LeadDyno, or the affiliate module in their prop-tech back office. Website fingerprints in October 2026 showed FundedNext on FirstPromoter and The5ers on LeadDyno.
How much does Cellxpert cost?
Cellxpert does not publish prices on its website (checked October 2026), so pricing is by quote. Ask for the full cost including setup, per-partner or volume fees and integrations with your platform and CRM.
Can affiliate software track discount codes?
Most affiliate software can track discount codes as well as links, but prop firms should confirm it reads the code at payment, attributes by a published rule when link and code disagree, and calculates commission on the discounted amount.
Should I use my back office's affiliate module?
A back-office affiliate module keeps trader, order and commission data in one system, which is a strong default for a new firm. Move to a dedicated platform when you need IB structures, complex tiers or fraud tooling the module lacks.
