TradeLocker is one of the platforms that grew with the prop industry rather than adapting to it. It publishes prop pricing, which is rare, and it lists the firms that use it on its own hub. This guide covers what a prop firm pays, what is included, how TradeLocker fits next to other platforms, and what it means for your website.
What does TradeLocker cost a prop firm?
TradeLocker charges prop firms per active account, with a monthly minimum. The table shows the plan as published on its prop pricing page when we checked in October 2026.
- The active-account definition matters: an evaluation account that never opens a trade isn't billed, so cost tracks engaged traders rather than sales.
- Platform cost is only one line. You still need a CRM or prop back office, payments, KYC and a website; see our startup cost guide.
| Item | As published |
|---|---|
| Starter plan | $3,000 a month for up to 500 active accounts; a minimum monthly fee applies |
| Custom plan | Above 500 accounts; tiered, lower cost per account as you grow; quote only |
| Setup fee | None stated ("no setup fees and no hidden costs") |
| Active account | "An account that had at least one open position during the billing month" |
| Included | Web, mobile and desktop; cloud hosting; onboarding and support; CRM, Brand and WebSockets APIs; back office and reports; listing on TradeLocker Hub |
| Add-ons | Competition accounts from $290 a month for 500 accounts; cluster separation (dedicated server) quote only |
How common is TradeLocker at prop firms?
TradeLocker's own hub listed 27 prop firms when we checked in October 2026. In PropFirmPal's September 2026 enrichment data for 245 firms (a comparison site we own), TradeLocker appeared at 28 firms, close to cTrader at 30. PropTechPal's directory of 25 prop-tech vendors (also ours) lists TradeLocker support at 17 vendors, behind MT5, cTrader and Match-Trader at 21 each.
After Spotware restricted US prop onboarding on cTrader in 2026, at least one firm named TradeLocker among its US platforms, alongside Match-Trader and Volumetrica, according to Finance Magnates.
What launch support does TradeLocker give?
TradeLocker's pricing FAQ says it prepares website updates with main product information and feature descriptions, and provides client email templates, press release templates, a social media kit and a client portal. That covers the announcement. It doesn't cover your rules pages, pricing table, checkout or SEO, which are where traders decide.
How do you model TradeLocker costs?
Model TradeLocker costs per active account, because that is how it bills. At the Starter plan's published ceiling, $3,000 a month across 500 active accounts works out to $6 per active account per month; below 500 the minimum monthly fee applies, so your cost per account is higher while you are small. That arithmetic is ours, from the published plan; ask TradeLocker for the minimum fee and the Custom tier steps before you set challenge prices.
Two operating choices move the number. Accounts that are bought but never traded don't count as active, so a high share of untouched evaluations lowers platform cost but says something about your onboarding. And accounts that stay open for months on simulated funded status keep counting, so payout policy and inactivity rules affect platform cost too. Write both into your rules, and show them on your website, so traders know when an inactive account is closed.
What does TradeLocker mean for your website?
- Hub listing: TradeLocker Hub pages earn their own search traffic. Make sure your listing links to a TradeLocker-specific page on your site, not just your homepage, so the visitor lands on the answer.
- Platform page: web terminal link, app store links, what charting and order types are available, and which account types use TradeLocker.
- Checkout hand-off: pass the platform choice and account size to your back office through the CRM API so credentials are issued on TradeLocker without manual work.
- Competitions: if you buy competition accounts, a competition page with rules, dates and a leaderboard turns the add-on into a marketing channel.
- Restricted countries and disclosures: per-platform country rules, simulated-account and third-party platform notices.
What should you ask TradeLocker?
- What is the minimum monthly fee below 500 active accounts?
- How do Custom tier prices step down per account?
- Which CRM or prop back offices are already integrated, and which rules can they enforce?
- Which countries are restricted, and how are changes notified?
- What are the notice period and data export terms if I leave?
